Sugar Land to Illuminate Season with Winter Wonderland-Themed Christmas Tree Lighting

Sugar Land, TX – Get ready to embrace the magic of the holiday season on Dec. 1 at Sugar Land Town Square. It’s the most wonderful time of the year, and Sugar Land invites families to come together and revel in the spirit of the season during Sugar Land’s enchanting Christmas Tree Lighting event.

Enjoy the “Let It Snow” photo booth opportunity sponsored by Champion Energy, and unleash the creative side with holiday crafts provided by Board & Brush Sugar Land. Strolling characters, mesmerizing ice sculptures and a medley of joyous activities will ensure that this annual tradition becomes a night to remember.

The mainstage will come alive with captivating performances from local schools and dance groups. The “Chill Zone” provided by Kelsey Care is expected to be a hot spot for cool LED décor and activities. Children will have the opportunity to spend time with Santa at the “Santa Experience” sponsored by One Medical, and just in case the little ones forget to tell Santa what’s on their wish list, the event will include a station for writing letters to Santa.

Toward the end of the night, a brief introduction from the mayor and City Council will take place, with a special visitor to join in the traditional countdown to the tree lighting. A short, spectacular display of snow and cold sparks will follow to leave everyone in awe.

Onsite food and beverages will be available for purchase, and event entry and parking will be free. Shuttles will be provided to and from Mercer Stadium, 16403 Lexington Blvd., for all participants.

A detailed schedule of the evening’s events will be available soon on the city website at www.SugarLandTX.gov/TreeLighting.
