A busy person has probably mastered the art of organization – which perfectly describes Ruthie Porterfield, a residential Realtor for more than 30 years. Ruthie has acquired an enviable clientele, none of whom would use anyone else for their real estate needs, and has been recognized for producing the highest volume of closed referral business within the company. Such outstanding repeat and referral business keeps her on the hop, but Ruthie always manages to maintain an even keel. According to Houston MLS, Ruthie has been the number-one Realtor in all residential categories for the Tanglewood/Briargrove area every year from 1991 to the present. She is recognized every year in the Houston Business Journal Book of Lists for selling some of the top-50 most expensive homes in Houston. Both H Texas magazine and Texas Monthly magazine have recognized Ruthie as a top Realtor in central Houston.
Ruthie specializes in luxury residential sales. She loves finding the right house for the right person and listens intently to what her customers consider to be their most essential criteria for a new home. She takes a serious and comprehensive approach to market statistics, updating her neighborhood sales data on a monthly basis and serving as a valuable resource for her fellow Realtors. Clients are impressed by Ruthie’s in-depth knowledge of houses and have confidence in her advice and guidance, and a licensed Realtor assistant helps keep her business running smoothly.
A native of Fort Worth, Ruthie graduated from the University of Texas with a degree in interior design and a minor in architecture. She was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority and is a retired member of the Junior League of Houston. Ruthie has served on the Texas Christian University Clark Board, the TCU Parent Council, and the boards of several Houston charities. She belongs to St. Martin’s Episcopal Church and is the mother of three grown sons.
