She began her professional career working for a Big 6 accounting firm, and later transitioned to real estate in her role as a real estate internal auditor for a major financial services company. Born and raised in Florida, Kristy graduated from Wake Forest University in North Carolina and moved to Houston in 1994. In the early 2000's, she lived a short time overseas with her husband and children before moving to Katy in 2005. She is also an active volunteer with her daughter through National Charity League. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.
