Born and raised in Houston, I never dreamed I would live anywhere else. Less than a year into marriage and my husband asked me to leave my beloved state for Louisiana. It's OK. He brought me back and then moved again. As an oilfield wife, if there is one thing I know how to do, it's find a home. We have lived in Louisiana, Australia and Malaysia but always make our way back home. This is our second time in Katy and I have loved watching it grow from a sleepy bedroom community, to a thriving city of its own, filled with entertainment, excellent food and award winning schools. Native Houstonian Deborah McGuire has a bachelor's degree in business administration from Texas A&M University and a master's in education from the University of Houston. Deborah previously worked as an early childhood educator in Fort Bend Independent School District and at the School for Little Children in Bellaire, and as the children's director at River Point Church in Missouri City. She applies the counseling and people skills she learned in education to her real estate business.
