Heather Shimala

Heather was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. She relocated to Texas in 1990 but still travels to the Bay Area often to work with clients and visit family. Heather has been in the real estate industry two decades, starting her career working for a Custom Home Builder. She also worked as a National Sales Executive where she developed negotiation and client experience skills, traveling all over the country. Eventually she wanted a career where she could develop these skills further and have the flexibility to not travel as often as she had young kids. She was licensed in 2008 and the Shimala Group was founded in 2016. The Shimala Group joined Compass in 2020, a technology-driven real estate brokerage. At the Shimala Group, we pride ourselves on providing the best service possible and technology is a driving force along with our genuine client relationships. Our goal is to focus on our core operations by building strong relationships with clients and knowing every nuance of the market. Not only has Heather helped clients across Texas but she also helps with relocated clients as well. With relocation experience herself from California to Texas, she is able to connect you with the community and neighborhood that will make you feel right at home! She will make your dream home a reality! Heather is strongly connected across the great state of Texas, where she proudly calls home! At home, she has a supportive husband, Jim, that also helps with the Shimala Group Business. She also has three beautiful children. Her youngest is Patrick, who is in middle school. He enjoys boxing and skateboarding. She has two daughters, Lauren who is currently attending the University of Oklahoma and Morgan is at Texas Tech. In her spare time, you can find her and her husband exploring what Dallas/Ft. Worth has to offer! They are huge foodies and like to find the Hidden Gem restaurants that Houston has to offer. Their ideal date night is food, wine, and shopping!
