Michael Canales a native Texan primarily located in the East Houston Area. 26 years of industrial experience with most of the time in leadership and management roles has provided me with extensive knowledge and experience in many disciplines. Development of facilities and plant design responsibilities have given me the beneficial experience of a fast-paced workload and attention to detail. I enjoy spending quality time with my family and virtually any outdoor activity you can imagine with my family. I particularly love travel and scenery in places I have not seen before. Real estate has always been a passion that I have desired to pursue. I made the decision to depart my long career and focus on my passion in Real Estate. With my background, I will provide great customer service, consistent communication, strong attention to detail and ensure a positive experience for all parties to the transaction including buyers, sellers, and cooperating agents. I have over 17 years of real estate experience ranging from Senior Director of Financial Planning/Analysis and Investor Relations for Weingarten Realty Investors, one of the largest commercial Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITS) in the United States. In 2012, I decided to leave corporate and pursue real estate on my own. After a short time with Remax, I had an opportunity to partner and open Century Properties Real Estate, a full-service, boutique brokerage in Deer Park, TX. We grew that brokerage from 3 agents to 30 agents in 4 years and became the largest brokerage in the city. In 2018, I sold my equity interest in Century Properties and moved to Waco, TX to be closer to family. I also started a new brokerage called 316 Realty Group

I have lived in the La Porte area for over 28 years. I have always been involved in my community. I can help with selling, buying, rentals, and commercial deals. Robert is proud to now call Texas home, and being 100% Dominican with Spanish fluency allowed a seamless transition to Houston TX.
