His desire to serve our country led David to the Army after high school and served as a member of the US Special Forces. After graduating, as Vice President of his class in college he joined Ernst & Young, LLP as a management consultant. He turned his focus to the financial sector and became Vice President at Texan Capital Group, Inc.

In the community, David helped establish a charter school in conjunction with the University of Texas, which served as a school for at risk youths. He enjoys volunteering for local non-profit organizations and served on the board of Cornerstone Recovery. He was also a founding member of The Methodist Young Leaders for Medicine, which supported The Methodist Hospital Foundation.
