This presentation is all about working with our contracts and awareness of what can happen if we do or fail to do something that could materially impact our clients and the success of the transaction. In a couple of words, it’s all about avoiding risk and the inherent consequences for failing to manage our transactions properly. Claiming ignorance (“I didn’t know about that”) will fall on deaf ears should there be a complaint. We’ll discuss the phenonium of “coming soon”—a lot could go wrong there. We’ll go over teams’ contracts—those can go wrong, too. Legislative requirements concerning the IABS will be reviewed. How our comparable market analyses and our authority has been clarified by TREC.
