Staging for Summer

1. Freshen up outdoor areas. Rent a pressure washer to clean the patio, driveway and, if necessary, the exterior of your home. Sweep up debris along walkways and add some flowers around the entryway to maximize curb appeal. A good first impression goes a long way.

2. Declutter and deep clean. Organizing your space will help prospective buyers visualize the home with their own things in it, not yours. Clean floors, surfaces, toilets, rugs, and bathrooms will help those potential buyers see your home like a blank canvas.

3. Call in reinforcements. Whether it be a leaky faucet or a noisy HVAC system, getting on top of maintenance you’ve been putting off is critical to selling your home quickly. You don’t want an inspector giving potential buyers reasons to chip away at your list price, so call in contractors and service technicians to get all of your appliances and fixtures in tip-top shape.
