Houston Real Estate Highlights - December 2025 / Full-Year Recap

2025 was another solid year in the Houston housing market! Here's the quick scoop:

  • Single-family home sales climbed 3.8% to 88,634 homes sold (up from 85,373 in 2024)
  • Overall property sales rose 2.3% to 104,325 units, with total dollar volume jumping 4.5% to $42.9 billion
  • Median price for single-family homes held steady at $335,000 (basically flat)
  • Average price ticked up a modest 0.8% to $425,535
  • Homes took a little longer to sell Days on Market rose from 59 to 64 days
  • Inventory grew to a 4.5-month supply (from 4.0 months last year) more options for buyers!

Townhomes & condos saw sales increase 5.5%, with median price down slightly to $224,500.

Overall, the market showed steady growth, balanced conditions, and plenty of opportunity whether you're buying or selling in the greater Houston area.
