Back when Kate Doke decided on a career transition into residential real estate sales, she was named Greenwood King's Rookie of the Year, and she has maintained Top Producer status ever since.
Kate pursued a degree in hotel and restaurant management at the University of Houston where she excelled and became one of the youngest certified sommeliers at that time. Her training and prior management career with 5-star hotels, private wine storage clubs, and an elite boutique wine distribution company equipped her with the stellar skills in sales and customer service required for a top agent.
"Like the food and beverage industry, real estate has always been a passion," Kate explains. "It gives me the same vibrant connection with people that I love. I also feel strongly about supporting locally owned businesses and GK is the top locally owned real estate firm in Houston. I have always worked at top-level brands with clients that expect the best in service and quality. At GK, I work with the best agents and management team in the city."
Kate thrives when surrounded by energy from other people and excels in an environment that's full of action. She works with a wide variety of clients, understands their expectations, and knows how to meet and exceed them. "I assist buyers and sellers in all stages of life, all price ranges, and throughout the Houston area, not just inside the Loop," Kate says. "Galveston Island, Sugar Land, The Woodlands, Spring - I've sold in them all."
A native Houstonian, Kate graduated from Bellaire High School. She and her husband, the owner of Tiny Boxwoods restaurant group, are busy professionals but spend as much time as possible with their three young daughters. "We try to be outside as much as we can," Kate says, "whether it is bike riding, walking the dog, or simply having picnics in the backyard."
