Bargain Shopping Online-  Groupon, Living Social, Ebates, and Cellfire

Bargain shopping on the internet has become a big business !  Everyone seems to be looking for a good deal these days, and businesses such as Groupon, Living Social, Ebates, and Cellfire have stepped up to fuel consumerism all around the world.

Groupon users get email notifications of daily deals in their city.  Subscribers get 50-90% off the best merchandise their city has to offer.  Just recently, Groupon offered a $25 voucher if you spent $50 online at the Gap.  Who doesn’t enjoy a Half-Off Sale?  Groupon Houston has also offered half off admission to local attractions, like Dewberry Farm. 

Living Social also has a similar set up, and so does Cellfire.  One thing I really like about Cellfire is that you can save coupons for groceries directly onto your grocery card (ie. Randalls and Kroger in Houston).  There is no need to clip those coupons anymore and have them scattered all around your purse.  The savings are on your cell phone ready for use.  I love that!

Ebates  has a different business model.   They offer online coupons as well, but when you shop online through their website, you get cash back for purchases you make online.  How cool is that?  Way cool!
