April co-founded and is the broker of NextHome DA Assets. April began her real estate journey in 2004 as an opportunity to break free from the traditional work environment. Damon, her husband, and she operated several independent brokerages where she successfully assisted clients with residential home purchases and sales, as well as trained new agents.

As an attorney, April advises on real estate matters including residential transactions. She also counsels clients on a wide range of landlord/tenant issues. April worked with a Fortune 500 company’s legal real estate group and with a Harris County Civil Court Judge. April earned her J.D. from South Texas College of Law Houston. She received her B.B.A. in Marketing from the University of Houston Downtown.

April is a former adjunct for Houston Community College teaching real estate courses. April served as a Board Member of the Houston Community College Real Estate Advisory Committee. She was also a member of the Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) Houston where she co-chaired the CREW Careers Outreach Committee.
