Condos in Houston are the new favorites for home buyers

HOUSTON, Texas- Home buyers are not only looking for single-family properties anymore. The demand for condos in Houston is just as big, according to a 2013 report of the Texas Association of Realtors.

Houston sold the most condos in the four major metro areas and experienced a high jump in sales with a 25% increase between January and September. Several projects for new condos are on the way, including a luxury mid-rise in the exclusive neighborhood of The Heights and a 26-story luxury high-rise with 44 residences in the uptown district, featuring more than a typical square-box design. Now, the floor plans include street-level retail and restaurants.
