Portable On Demand Art Project at Friendswood Public Library

The Portable On Demand Art (P.O.D.A.) Project is a temporary public art exhibition featuring the work of Houston area artists. Each artist or collective of artists has uniquely transformed a PODS. container into a work of art. This P.O.D.A. project provides a non-traditional platform for artists to explore the cultural, ecological, political, scientific and socio-economic forces shaping Houston's aspirations for the future, and showcases our area as a vibrant arts and cultural capital and museum mecca for locals and visitors alike.

From Wednesday, September 14 until Wednesday, October 5, the City of Friendswood is teaming up with the P.O.D.A. project by displaying four of these pieces of artwork at the grassy area adjacent to the Friendswood Public Library's parking lot. The four pods chosen for display in Friendswood are entitled Aerosol Warfare, Box 13 Art Space, The Joanna and Metalab the Play. All are invited to view these unique pieces of artwork.
