BUY vs RENT -- REAL ESTATE 101

Make The Right Choice For You! 

As a realtor and mortgage professional for over  10 years, I get this question quite frequently from my clients. This is a much debated topic.  Lest we forget; The American Dream. Deciding is tough for most people, because it's an emotional choice.

It really comes down to whether your credit is in good standing, you have the initial cost saved for your down payment and closing cost, and if you plan on staying in the home for a while to acquire equity? If you can put a check by these three items than your best value may be in home ownership.

If you do not have the means to own right now, renting may be a more favorable option.  Renting allows many of the same privileges as home ownership (privacy, more bedrooms, larger living area, and a private garage).

Don't believe the myth; renting is throwing your money down the drain. Renting may actually allow you to save money for a year, and improve your buying power.
