The Emery/Weiner School is an independent, college-preparatory,co-educational day school for students in grades six throughtwelve. Founded in 1978, The I. Weiner Jewish Secondary Schoolbegan with a student population of fewer than 20 students. In 2001,the school expanded its scope with the establishment of Emery HighSchool. With the integration of a sixth through twelfth gradecurriculum, these schools were jointly renamed The Emery/WeinerSchool. Today, the high school is the fastest growing and largestper capita Jewish community high school in the nation. TheEmery/Weiner School is an accredited member of ISAS. - Our academic program encompasses traditional and progressive methods. For instance, we stress skills such as writing and reading, but also engage in experiential learning and regular field trips. Our approach to Judaic studies is a modern one, which seeks to make the material and the traditions relevant for each student. And our culture is one that empowers students in order to create in each a sense of responsibility not only for their school community, but for the greater community at-large. The result is a learning partnership in which students feel a sense of ownership, and, more importantly, become graduates instilled with moral self-reliance. - The Emery/Weiner School - 9825 Stella Link Rd - Houston - TX - 77025 Read more ↓
