About Me

Houston is an international city, and Vicky Chu well understands international transfers. In fact, she was born and raised in Taiwan. Vicki moved to Thailand at age 13, where her father worked for the United Nations. It took Vicki only four months of immersion study to learn English at Bangkok’s International School.

Vicki’s next move took her to the USA, where she majored in chemical engineering at the University of Idaho. She was voted outstanding senior by students and professors alike. After graduation, Vicki broke ground as the first female chemical engineer hired by Exxon to provide operations support at their Baytown refinery.

For a number of years, Vicki supported herself as a stock market investor, where her strong mathematic skills gave her an analytic edge. She learned to use sophisticated accounting and tax structures to improve her bottom line – tools she still uses to benefit her real estate clients today.

But selling real estate remains Vicki's passion. She has worked with Houston builders and homeowners for three decades, allowing her to easily optimize furniture placements, reduce clutter, and recommend minor repairs – which means her sellers can command top dollar for their homes. An extensive network of contractors, title professionals and financiers gives Vicki the ability to resolve even the most difficult closing issues – which means other agents trust her when Vicki negotiates offers for her clients. Most of all, Vicki spends time understanding her clients and their lifestyles – which means that the home they buy will meet their housing needs for years to come.

Vicki Chu speaks Mandarin Chinese. Her passion for excellence is shown by her Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) designation (which is earned by less than five percent of real estate agents) and by her broker’s license. In her spare time, Vicki enjoys swimming, yoga, and weight training. She reads extensively on the ever-changing financial markets and on healthy cooking. Most importantly, Vicki enjoys meeting people and providing the best service possible in the complicated world of residential real estate.
