About a year after we got married we began our search for "our dream home/life". We would frequently search out properities that were having open houses and began to research many different options. We ruled out Jamaica Beach and Bolivar Island because we thought they would be a little too far away. We then switched our attention to Bayou Vista and Omega Bay/ Tiki Island. All of those places offered bits of pieces of what we wanted but none of them fit us perfectly.

At one point we were sure we were going to buy a condo on the East End of Galveston Beach. But that also didn't seem to be a pefect fit because we knew we wouldn't be able to boat as often.

We switched back to looking around Clear Lake. We found several options we liked in Nassau Bay and Watergate Harbor..Then one day we discovered the community of Seagate. We attended an open house and the rest is history. We fell in love with it. It had everything we wanted. It had a private harbor, it was 45 minutes from the beach. It had a private marina with a boat slip included. We made an offer, and here we are. More about all that later...for now..we couldn't be happier living on the water.
