Assistance for Victims of Hurricane Harvey

In the aftermath of such a horrific storm (hurricane Harvey, August 2017), HUD announces disaster assistance for victims of Harvey.  HUD annouced the following will be made available: 

• Speed federal disaster assitance to the State of Texas to provide support to homeowners and low income renters forced from their homes due to the hurricane.
• Immediate foreclosure relief, in form of 90 day moratorium on foreclosures in process (for FHA insured homes).
• 100% financing options, it will be available for disaster victims who qualify to purchase a new home (FHA financing).
• 203(K) loan programs for disaster victims who lost their homes and would like to refinance current home/mortgage to include repairs of the home into a single mortgage.
