Humble Independent School District Rocks!

Many great things are happening in Humble Independent School District.  H-E-B recently recognized this fact by naming Humble ISD their 2015 Large District winner of the H-E-B Excellence in Education Award.  This award identifies Humble ISD as a leader in public education among Texas school districts.  Humble ISD was in the running with 6 other large school districts statewide.  The $100,000 award will be used towards innovative education grants through out the district.

Humble ISD is very proud of some of their other accomplishments as well.  They were named in the 2015 College Board AP Honor Roll.  Humble ISD's transportation department was named among the 2015 Top 100 Fleets in North America.  Out of the 68,000 graduates in 2015, there was over $20 million awarded in scholarships.  And the Humble ISD Education Foundation has raised more than $1 million.

Humble ISD is servicing about 41,000 students this 2015-2016 school year.  The area is experiencing rapid growth: expansion and addition of terminals at Bush IAH airport, FMC Technologies relocating their global headquarters to the up and coming Generation Park business park, new retailers headed to the area in Costco and new anchor store addition coming at Deerbrook Mall, construction of Kings Creek mixed use community(a multi use development similar to City Centre), and redevelopment projects underway for Humble's downtown district.  Humble ISD is planning and preparing for the population growth all these additions will bring to the areas serviced by their district.  Plans are currently underway to add 3 new elementary schools, 2 new middle schools and 1 new high school to the area by 2021.
