I know we are all dying for spring to come, but it will approach faster than we think! Now is the time to start clearing out your home and do some Spring Cleaning before the winter leaves us again until November (if we're lucky?). Cleaning an ENTIRE home can seem daunting and hardly what you want to do in your spare time. It's time consuming, it can get messy before it gets clean, and it can be A LOT of work. Here we have some tips for all of you procrastinating the so called season of Spring Cleaning:

1. Start Fresh! Clear off all tables and countertops so you can start from scratch! Only put back what you really love or need.

2. Budget Your Time! Be realistic about the time it will take for specific areas. You don't have to complete the whole house in one day!! Pick a room each day based off how much time you want or can put into cleaning/refreshing your home that particular day.

3. Work in Categories! Start by taking out all trash. Anything you want to get rid of (you can have a trash pile and donation pile if you are one who does not like to throw things away) take out of the room and throw away! Then keep going like that for whatever else is in that room. If it's a bedroom do clothes next, or an office do important paperwork next, and so on and so forth. Soon enough the organizing part will be done, and you can finally start cleaning.

4. Clean From Top to Bottom! Always start at the highest point before moving on. There's nothing worse than vacuuming, then dusting a fan just to realize you need to vacuum all over again ? This goes for shelves, desks, lamps, anything that is above the floor! Highest to Lowest (The opposite of your online shopping cart LOL)

5. Make Yourself 'Cleaning Caddy'! Put together a small bucket or basket of your usual cleaning supplies. Simply grab and go whenever it's time to get cleaning! It makes it so much easier to manage your time without using time to find everything you need before even starting the project.

6. Use The Right Tools! Some great cleaning tools to invest in are extendable dusters (for hard to reach places like fans and can lighting), a handheld squeegee (to keep those water stains off glass shower doors, and avoid window cleaner streaks from towels), scrub brushes (from bathtubs to floor tiles, a scrub can get those nooks and crannies you can never seem to get), and even a lint roller (trust me, vacuuming pet hair off your couch is not as easy as it sounds)!

7. Checklists are Key! Having a checklist of rooms and what's to be done in each room is a fantastic tool to keep you on schedule! It can also keep you organized, and help you work more efficiently!

8. Let the Light in! As soon as the weather permits, open a few doors and windows to let the fresh air in, and the stuffy air out! There's nothing better than feeling the sun and fresh air while you work!

9. Record Your Progress! Before you start cleaning a room, take a photo. Once you start cleaning set up a timer for 5-10 minutes. When it goes off take another photo of the room. The progress you make will surprise you! You will be amazed at the difference in just a few short minutes.

10. Listen to What You Enjoy! The worst part about cleaning is how boring and repetitive it can be. The best way to keep yourself from deciding to be done before you're actually done, is to keep your brain focused on anything else! Whether it's a podcast, an audiobook, or music, listen to what you love! The time will fly by when you're singing Taylor Swift!

In short, don't be scared of 'Spring Cleaning'. There are an infinite amount of ways to make it easier all you have to do is find what works best for YOU! It is a time full of hard work, but work that is SO rewarding when you're done. If you have been thinking about spring cleaning or even been putting it off this is for you! We believe in you! When you're done send us some photos of your newly refreshed home, and some tips and tricks you used to help you get there! Happy Spring y'all!!!
