One of the best parts of experiencing a movie taken in at a movie theatre is the sound. The popcorn, drinks & treats are a bonus included as traditional movie-going accessories. The big picture and the sound experiences are what homeowners try to recreate within the sanctuary of their homes. Surround sound installation, wireless AND wired options to consider and so much more that definitely calls for an expert or someone well versed and experienced in these brands and off-brand options for home stereo and audio systems. Bose and Sonos have been mentioned as the top two suggestions in brand and quality. Bowers & Wilkins sound systems are quite an investment in upgrades in a for real- for real home theatre situation. My query and curiosity mostly are about what's what with the simplest and the most cost-efficient way(s) to enjoy good quality sound and visuals in cable TV programming, movies, and music in the living room. Delving much deeper, creating good acoustics might also require some special construction of the interior walls. Sometimes, those systems can be way too much for a small room. The sound can be overwhelming if the sound is adjusted to a lower volume but because of the power in a subwoofer, it can sound awful if the room is not catching the sound to be enjoyable to the listener but rather a big, noisy, shiny thing that "looks" cool. Today, I learned a little more about soundbars and subwoofers and who and what a Magnolia Home Theatre room is. Sony seems to be a trusted brand that has withstood the test of time with consumers and scores just beneath products by Sonos and Bose who are more specific sound equipment brands.
The simplest things can create better audio/video/stereo setup if we are willing to do the research and ask the right questions of someone who is knowledgeable and familiar with these brands and products and also have an understanding of how they operate. What kind of sound do you like, more treble ... less bass? If we are listening intently, we'd prefer the sound quality to be as close or nearest to the original intent within the art itself.
The difference between wired and wireless might also be a factor in sound quality. One gentleman working in the stereo department at a popular electronics franchise offered that in his professional and personal opinion, wired systems prove to provide a better sound experience over a wireless system. When looking for a home theatre or television installation service, ask for referrals, and choose an installation business that has good reviews from former and other customers. Perhaps you can do it yourself.
I listen to Zoom meetings and some other media outlets as well as music through a small 808 Canz wireless speaker. The sound is usually great, however, if the wi-fi single is not so great then it affects the sound quality. Alexa actually has a pretty smooth sound quality as a speaker. I asked Alexa, who makes her and she answered, "Amazon". Amazon Echo is a smart speaker made by Amazon.com. She is lovely in the early morning hours equipping us for the day playing smooth jazz or Christmas blues songs at this time of year with sound quality that never disappoints. I hope we all have a wonderful holiday and a sweeter end of the year. It's been an interesting 2020, to say the least. I pray that Santa visits each of us with love and joys unimaginable at Christmastime. Be good to yourselves, take care of yourselves. Happy holidays.
