Garden Villas

Don't know if yall know about Garden Villas, it used to be advertised in the Sunday Houston Post (shows how old it is) as Houston's best kept secret. It is my neighborhood and I love it. Don't get me wrong it isn't perfect- we have some "issues". We are know for our large lots- many are 3/4 of an acre and they go up and down from there. I like to think it is one of the first master planned communities because it was planned with the parks, trees and churches. Only one church remains from the original plans- mine, Garden Villas Baptist.  We have a canopy of trees covering the streets with all our pecan trees.  We have a slew of Peacocks which move in small groups thru the neighborhood that started with one pair on I believe Alpine Dr some years ago.
