If you’re a homeowner, this is your reminder to file your property tax protest, it could save you hundreds of dollars.

Deadline Alert: Most counties require you to file your protest by May 15th (or within 30 days of receiving your appraisal notice, whichever is later).

If your home value seems too high, you have the right to challenge it. With rising property values, it’s more important than ever to make sure you’re not paying more than your fair share.

You can protest if:
• Your home value increased significantly
• Comparable homes are valued lower
• There are errors in your property details
• Market conditions don’t support the appraisal

Don’t wait until the last minute!!gather your comps, photos, and any supporting info now!

If you need help with the above reach out to your realtor!

If you have questions or need guidance on how to get started, feel free to reach out to me! I’m happy to help!
