Energy, Courage, Vision, Divine Inspiration, and Devotion to Natural Beauty came together when home innovators Debbie Drury and Skyler Cornelius conceptualized Bay Area Houston’s finest waterfront estate. “Inspiration Pointe” presents a spectacular collaboration of design, construction, layout, and décor. Permits are in place with the Texas General Land Office to build a private pier – an exclusive and rare grant.  

After an extensive land search, Debbie Drury purchased this pristine property and began pursuit of building a magnificent residence. A global traveler, Drury took into consideration design aspects ranging from the aesthetic to the convenient, from the luxurious to the practical. At the center of her vision were her core values – family, faith and community. The awe-inspiring stone and stucco home at the pointe on Pegasus Lane, is the product of true design innovation.      

Grand Entry Walking through the wrought-iron and glazed glass front doors is a breath-taking moment. The grand foyer features a hand painted gilded artisan dome ceiling with a magnificent crystal chandelier, a piano enclave, and a full bar with Fantasy Brown granite. The floors are of silver travertine, carried throughout the first and second floors and all patios. The curved staircase features custom wrought iron, solid red oak treads and silvered mirror tile risers. This dramatic entry opens to the social epicenter of the home and has panoramic views of Clear Lake.

Dining room/Gallery In the formal dining room, hand painted and textured walls capture even the most discerning eye. Pennies are found in this exquisite wall texturing, bringing great luck to those who enjoy this space. Above the dining table hangs an exquisite silver, crystal, and gold chandelier throwing light not only into this entertainment space, but into the spirit of the people around. Conceptualized in Los Suenos, Costa Rica, the Gallery expands across the gathering rooms. Its barrel ceiling is hand laid with Chicago brick and punctuated with elegant columns.  

The Wine Room Inspiration Pointe delivers design innovations garnered by travels around the globe. The wine room captures romantic memories shared over the years in France, Italy, Northern California and vineyards throughout Texas. The room has storage for twenty- five cases of your favorite vintages, and a duel-zoned wine cooler. The wine bar is uniquely crafted from a French Oak wine barrel first used at a vineyard in Napa Valley which had special meaning to the owners. The walls of the wine room are adorned with gold leaf Angels, representing the Angel’s share - the portion of barrel aged spirits lost through evaporation. The ceiling is of wine corks and hand hewed antique beams. Wrought iron gates separate this masterpiece from the formal dining.

Living room and HEARTH While traveling, Builder Debbie Drury found herself at an auction with an unusual, and stunning item before her – an Italian Marble and Stone hearth with exquisite carving and detail. Inspired by the beauty of this piece, she determined to build the heart of Inspiration Pointe creatively around this baroque work of art. Weighing more than five tons, steel reinforces the floor beneath this magnificent piece, and steel also ties the hearth to the structure of the home. Twenty-two-foot ceilings in the living room were designed around the hearth to accommodate a simple principle – where loved ones gather, there is warmth, elegance and love. This home was designed around gathering, and, in the central living room, the hearth is the home’s centerpiece.   Equally impressive in these central rooms is the stunning panoramic view of Clear Lake. Pella insulated storm-resistant windows and multi-slide doors provide access to the large outdoor balcony. The entertaining area can be opened to include the covered balcony, complete with its own full bathroom and gourmet outdoor cooking accoutrements.  

Kitchen Family and friends naturally gravitate to the exhibition chef’s kitchen. The island, surfaced in Magma Gold granite, comfortably seats up to twelve guests and has a disappearing charging station. The JENN-AIR gas freestanding range includes double ovens, six surface burners, and a grill. To accommodate large events, there are double Bosch electric ovens. The refrigerator is a JENN-AIR built-in with Obsidian interior and custom panels. Ultimately convenient is the walk-in pantry that holds a coffee bar, ample storage and a second full-size stainless-steel refrigerator (a caterers dream for large parties). This kitchen sink has its own hot water heater for instantly hot water and a reverse osmosis filtration system for drinking purposes.  

Master Suite 1 Thoughtfully designed to amplify water views and privacy, the master suite is accessed through a stunning gallery with a multi-tier groin vaulted ceiling, and three crystal chandeliers. Including a fireplace and sitting area, the expansive bedroom offers water views from every angle. Automated black out shades can be lowered when sleeping. Custom wall coverings and faux painting adorn this dream room.   Included in the master suite is a private sanctuary chapel. While traveling, the builder, Debbie Drury, found a one-hundred-year-old church undergoing a remodeling project. She procured the marvelous paneling from this building and incorporated this as one of the chapel walls. The ceilings are hand laid brick groin vaulted ceilings with a stunning multi-color crystal chandelier. One-hundred-eighty-degree views and gracious velvet and fur window coverings complete this very private place to find inspiration.   The master bathroom is an oasis. Complete with full sized marble and stone hearth, there is a jetted whirlpool bathtub that can accommodate two, and an oversized multi-faucet steam shower. The tile is porcelain with mosaic inlays, and the counters are of Kalahari granite.   Truly inspiring are the two oversized wardrobes found in this luxurious suite. With glass fronted cabinets, accent lighting, built-in jewelry cases, pull adorned drawers, shoe cases, and dressing mirrors, the closet leaves nothing to be desired.   The utility room is adjacent to the master suite, as is the elevator. For the turnkey traveler who must occasionally visit home on the go, getting in and out of Inspiration Pointe is as convenient as it is luxurious. A quick trip up the elevator, and the owner of this residence is ready to get to their next destination.  

Master Suite 2 Designed for extended stay guests, Inspiration Pointe’s extra master suite is second to none. The large bedroom includes an observatory styled sitting area with two-hundred-seventy-degree views of clear lake. It’s stunning black chandelier and hand-laid silver domed ceiling make this room a favorite place in the house. The private covered patio is a lovely place to relax, reflect and take in the view. The custom faux painting in this room compliments the black and white theme.   The spa-like bathroom has a large soaking tub and over-sized shower. Silvered mirror tiles and Kalahari granite create glamour in this beautiful space.  

Media room Acoustics and visual effects are maximized in the media room. The one-hundred-thirty-five-inch reflective screen and projection equipment bring the ultimate home theater experience (Skyler I can’t find the audio surround sound info in email) audio…. Floor to ceiling custom blue velvet curtains, plush carpeting and ceiling treatments make this room acoustically perfect. There is a separate karaoke screen for entertaining fun. The room has a private entrance to the front entry with Dakota wrought iron and glass doors that could be used for large events and venues.  

Study The home features a large home office with built-in shelves and desks to accommodate today’s lifestyle where we often work from home. The exposed cross beam ceiling and mahogany and glass doors make this room not only functional, but aesthetically appealing.

Game room The Bay Area Houston lifestyle means yachting, whether under sail or over power. The home includes a dock-o-minimum in the Constellation Pointe Marina but is minutes by boat from the yacht basins of South Shore Harbor, Waterford Harbour, Lakewood, Marina Del Sol, Texas Corinthian, and Houston. When not boating, lake life means swimming or relaxing by the water. The outdoor entertaining area is jaw dropping with two-hundred-degree water views over clear lake.  The pool & spa currently under construction, are designed by award winning Decorative Pools Landscape.  The area will include a floating bridge to the spa, a tanning ledge, exquisite tile inlays with multiple water and fire features a white sand beach and breathtaking firepit for family fun.    When entertaining outdoors enjoy a beautiful ground floor outdoor kitchen equipped for a chef or any catering company projected to include Large Grill, Smoker, Cook Top, Dishwasher & Sink.  Steps from the pool, is the waterfront party venue complete with billiards, gaming room, and expansive sports bar with 6 Led TV’s. Bedroom 4 Each bedroom at Inspiration Pointe is ensuite with its own theme. Bedroom four features metallic grass weave wall covering, coffered ceilings with custom detail, a Juliet balcony, and red oak three quarter inch tongue and groove flooring. The bathroom has custom hand-laid mosaic tile and granite counters.  

Bedroom 5 Sometimes referred to as the “Safari Room”, this bedroom has faux snakeskin wall covering accents, and a westward water view.  

Third Floor Gallery The third-floor corridor features a dramatic Juliet balcony overlooking the grand entertainment area. The coffered ceiling has inlaid custom wall coverings and the floors are three-quarter inch tongue and groove solid red oak.  

The SECRET No estate is complete without some element of mystery, and this house is not without exception. The unique, three hundred square foot area defies category with it’s vaulted ceilings and concealed entrance. Currently used as a children’s play space but could follow the imagination and creativity of the new owner.
