UTMB

The University of Texas Medical Branch is changing the name of its 62-acre mainland medical complex to UTMB Health League City Campus.  Construction is underway adding 142,000 SF for a hospital, emergency department and wider range of inpatient and outpatient services.  The original 110,000 SF, two-story building, formerly known as the Specialty Care Center at Victory Lakes, opened in 2010.  Completion is expected this August.  Included in this phase are 11 labor delivery/recovery rooms and 10 medical/surgery rooms; plans are to grow to 37 rooms.
