4th Annual Inspiring Possibilities Casino Night :: Northwest Forest Convention Center :: Our Casino Night is a fun filled adult night out. Your ticket or sponsorship gets you dinner, 2 adult beverages, casino play money to test your luck at the tables with special prizes at the end of the evening to try for. We will have a Live Auction and Silent Auction with such items as a trip to the Cayman Islands, Cabo, Puerta Vallerta, a signed guitar from ZZ Top, a fishing trip in Matagorda, and loads more awesome stuff.
2012 Go Red for Women Luncheon :: Berry Center :: Monday, February, 13 from 10:30 am to 1:00 pm. An empowering event focusing on heart disease and stroke prevention among women by promoting healthy lifestyles and raising funds to support awareness, education and research for women’s heart health. Help spread the word that Heart Disease kills more women than All Cancers Combined. Too many women die each year because they don’t know heart disease is their No. 1 killer. 2nd Annual Chocolate & Wine Tasting :: The Woodlands :: The Breast Cancer Charities of America (BCCA) will be hosting The 2nd Annual Chocolate and Wine Tasting Evening in support of breast cancer programs and services.
Chocolates will be paired with select wines, and an array of hors d’oeuvres will also be presented for all to enjoy. Live entertainment and other fun activities will make the evening complete.

‘Biggest Losers’ Couple book-signing Feb. 11 :: The Woodlands Children’s Museum :: Phil and Amy Parham, contestants on the NBC TV show “The Biggest Loser” in 2008, will make a special guest appearance at The Woodlands Children’s Museum at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 11.
The Parhams will offer their insights on health and fitness, while promoting their book, “The 90-Day Fitness Challenge: A Proven Program for Better Health and Lasting Weight Loss.”

Mardi Gras! Galveston :: Mardi Gras was publicly observed on Galveston Island as early as 1867 but was discontinued during World War II. The Island’s celebration was resurrected in 1985 and since then has become one of the most popular events along the Texas Gulf Coast.
The Mardi Gras Entertainment District includes 20th – 25th Streets and Harborside Drive to Mechanic Streets. This area includes more than 15 square blocks. Daytime parades also take place along Seawall Blvd. between 14th Street and 59th Street.
