Secrets for Selling Your Home: First Impressions

There’s a saying that the first impression is the only impression and that can be very true.  It can’t be said enough that most buyers have judged your home before they even come through the front door.  Make sure everyone who walks through your door feels warm and welcome…and that starts with sprucing up your home’s exterior.  Rake and clean out debris, freshen up the landscaping with inexpensive shrubs and a splash of color with bedding flowers.  Have the exterior trim freshly painted, if necessary. Make the entry way especially inviting, like adding a table like the one pictured here and make it welcoming by adding that extra special touch with fresh cut flowers, a nice silk arrangement, or a platter of warm cookies!  Make sure the home is tidy and free of clutter.

This may seem simple, but it often gets overlooked.  Remember that first impression is one of the most important things and needs to be taken seriously if you want your home to be a top contender in the buyers mind!
