When Should I Sell My House?

The year is coming to a close and you may be wondering if now is a good time to sell your home.

Here are some questions to ask yourself:

• Are you emotionally ready to sell your home?
• Do you have enough equity built up to pay off mortgages secured against your property?
• Is your home ready for the market?  Homes that sell the quickest are those that are move-in ready and need very little, to no repairs.

Ask your realtor about other homes in your area.  Is there a lot of competition right now?  If not, now could be a great time to sell.

The end of the year is typically slower than most other months.  With low interest rates, now could be a great time to take advantage of a slow market, when other sellers are waiting.
