The Millennials are Coming

According to Culture Map Houston, millennials are invading Houston.  The country average percentage of millennials in a major city/market area is 13.5% but Houston is at 14%. Our healthy job markets is one of the reasons these young professionals are attracted to our city.  We are told that the average Houstonian spends 36% of their salary on housing which is less than other major cities such as Miami and Los Angeles. According to Realtor.com Houston is ranked #5 as one of the best cities for millennials to buy homes.They also noted that The Heights, Oak Forest and Timbergrove are attracting a big portion of the young people.
