The link below is to an article about smoking detectors and what we don't know that we should. It says that the common smoke detector (ionization detectors) that most of us may have in our homes does not protect you from smoke. They are often not triggered by smoke and smoke inhalation is a very real threat to surviving a fire. Accordign to the article we should have photoelectric detectors in our home. They are typically more expensive but how much is a life worth? Please take a moment to read this and then check your home. Be safe!
