Houston has diversified and that is one of the keys to its success. In the last 12 months Houston has added over 68,000 jobs to the economy. Job growth and employment are key to a healthy economy. The oil & gas industry leads job growth with 12.38% increase. Construction and manufacturing follow in 2nd & 3rd place. Retail and wholesale sales are up as well.
