The Houston Zoo celebrates its Asian elephants with special enrichment, elephant themed activities, and keeper chats scheduled for 9:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m., and 1:00 p.m. Visitors can also make seed balls during the Wildlife Workshop.
The zoo opens at 8:00 a.m. during August, making an early arrival a good option before the afternoon heat develops.
