Many think that because it is December there is no real gardening to be doe. Well here are some tips for those with a green thumb.
-If a long flowering period is what you desire, panies should be placed in their permanent beds no later than this month. Fertalize monthly with manure, super phosphate products. Keep flowers picked for more bloom.
-Take tulips out of the cold storgae and plant late this month.
-Feralize established trees, spring blooming shurbs, spurias and sweet peas with a fertalizer such as 13-13-13.
-Azaleas and camellias may be moved now. Keep moist to lesson cold weather damage. May acidify again.
-Last month to plant early blossoming spring bulbs.
-Water plants well before a freeze, dry roots are easily damaged.
