Waterway Development On Its Way

KATY (Houston Business Journal) – A Houston developer plans to build a new waterway community in Katy.

Academy Development submitted plans to the city of Houston for Marcello, a new community on 546 acres of farmland at the southeast corner of Katy Hockley and Clay roads — near the Grand Parkway and Interstate 10. The city’s planning commission approved Academy’s plan for Marcello on June 11.

Academy plans to develop three different sections in Marcello with different names, home products, densities and price points, said Christopher Browne, a department manager of land planning with Houston-based engineering company EHRA, which is helping to design the new community.
