Emmitt Smith must have been dying to prove me wrong! (Figures it would be from a dallas football team player, lol)
While most celebrities keep their home sales private (there are many ways to do that, as I discussed with Frank Monacelli last week), Smith put his home on the market very publicly! Hes even having dinner with the person who ends up buying it (although that might be a pretty awkward meal if theres any sort of problem with the inspection, appraisal, or closing!).
Anyway, according to People:
The NFL Hall of Famer, 52, is selling his 10,806-square-foot home in Dallas and the listing comes with a few easter eggs for football fans: The listing price is an an ode to the jersey number, 22, he wore for twelve years. And the buyer will get a unique perk with their purchase: a dinner with the legendary athlete...[t]he main suite is equipped with a sitting area, three large walk-in closets, and a spa-like bathroom that includes a steam room, jacuzzi bath, multi-jet shower system, and two toilets.
Im doubtful that this is going to start a trend of ex-athletes offering perks like dinner, but hey, you never know.
The dallas football team has not won a Super Bowl since 1996.
