Pearland High School has been realigned to District 24-5A

Pearland High School has been moved back to District 24-5A.The district will include schools from Alvin, Brazoswood and Dickinson. This realignment is similar to the set up from years 2006-2008.

In the current alignment, Pearland is with the Pasadena ISD schools, Deer Park and La Porte in 22-5A. 

Pearland Dawson and Manvel high schools remain in District 24-4A, which has Friendswood, La Marque, Santa Fe and Texas City. The district lost powerhouse Angleton and Brazosport, which went with District 23-4A and added Ball, which dropped from 5A.

The UIL says schools gaining or losing students by consolidation may have their conference and district assignments changed during the two-year alignment period.

This should make for better sports all around.
