The Woodlands Art Festival this weekend

For the weekend of April 7-9, 2017 the Woodlands Waterway is the place to be!

The Woodlands Art Council presents the Woodlands Waterway Art Festival. This art festival is ranked one of the top in the nation with over 200 artists work on display from a wide range of mediums. There are also interactive workshop for a variety of ages and skill levels. In addition to art on display there will be 4 performance stages and a “foodie” section with live chefs and mixologist. Craft beer and wine will also be available.

The art festival will be held daily at the Woodlands Waterway from the Marriott to Grogan’s Mill Road on Friday 11AM-6PM, Saturday 10AM-6PM and Sunday 10AM-5PM. The festival entrance is near the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion. Admission is $15 for persons ages 12 and over. Parking is available along certain roadways for free or in area hotel garages for a fee. There is also a trolley that is providing free transport to the festival.

The Woodlands Art Council is a non-profit organization that supports arts in the community. Their mission includes: supporting public art in the community, outreach programs to bring art to underprivileged youth, helping youth stay in school and provide scholarships, holding interactive workshops and programs for persons with special needs, creating a better community life through art, and helping enrich the lives of community senior citizens. They welcome artists and other volunteers to help them in their endeavors. The Terrace Hospitality Club is a Woodlands Art Festival fundraiser for the Woodlands Art Council education and outreach programs. For $75 you will receive a 3 day entrance and access to an outdoor lounge area with appetizers and refreshments.
