Every January, the world takes a collective deep breath. We pull out new planners, write fresh goals, and promise ourselves that this year will be different. More intentional. More productive. More successful.
But let me be very honest with you…
We did not hit our goals for 2025.
Not in production.
Not in volume.
Not in the way we carefully mapped out last January.
And you know what? I'm not ashamed of that. I set big goals. I always have, and I always will. I believe goals should be reachable, but just slightly out of reach. If they’re too easy, you’re selling yourself short. Growth comes from stretching. From reaching. From pushing.
But even with the most detailed plans, life still happens.
Curveballs come fast and uninvited.
People struggle quietly.
Teams carry weight no outsider ever sees.
And our team was no exception. We experienced loss, grief, and circumstances that would bring most people to their knees.
Q1 2025? Brutal.
February? One of the slowest months we’ve ever had in nearly two decades.
Most people in real estate will tell you Q1 is usually slow, but this one felt like a full stop.
But here’s what I’m most proud of:
We did not wallow.
We did not spiral.
We did not let it define the rest of our year.
We looked at each other and said, “Okay, then we’ve got 10 months to catch up.”
And we didn’t just catch up.
We doubled down.
We pushed harder.
We kept our headspace clean.
When we couldn’t go through the obstacle, we went around it.
We supported one another.
We stayed focused.
And most importantly, we kept showing up.
Because a goal is simply that: a goal.
It does not define you.
But how you react when you fall short?
That absolutely does.
And here’s the best part:
We finished 2025 with our strongest December in almost 20 years.
We closed the year 106% higher in transactions than 2024.
And 107% higher in volume than the previous year.
I always say:
It’s not how you start, it’s how you finish.
Games aren’t won in the first quarter.
They’re won after halftime, when the team decides who they’re going to be.
So here is my message to you as we walk into 2026:
Do not let numbers define you.
Not the ones on a scale.
Not the ones in your bank account.
Not the ones on your sales tracker or your leaderboard.
Not the ones in your setbacks.
Use numbers to measure progress, not worth.
Use goals to guide direction, not identity.
And when life knocks you flat, get. back. up.
Every. Single. Time.
My wish for you this year is simple:
That you give yourself grace.
That you celebrate resilience more than results.
That you chase big goals even if they scare you.
And that you remember:
You are not defined by the dip. You are defined by the comeback.
Cheers to a bold, brave, beautiful 2026. May it be the year you rise higher than you ever thought possible.
