Is that time of the Year! A Homestead exemption helps you save on taxes on your home when is your "primary residence only". Harris County is now requiring attach your TXDL/TXID and your vehicle registration when you send the form. Please remember that all 3 documents must have your claimed homestead property as primary residence.
If you purchase a property in Harris County in 2012 as your "primary residence only" you are not require to send the form until after January 1, 2013 For more info go to www.hcad.org
