LOVE to sell your home but... HATE the thought of staging?

Imagine walking into a showroom and what do you see? The highlights and the idea of what what could possibly be. When selling your home you what to show just that. The vision of the new future that the buyer sees having when they make the purchase and move in. What are the main attributes of the home you're selling and how can you emphasize those? See these 8 easy DIY tips that can help you stage your home for a faster sale.

1.    Boost curb appeal: Do not forget the outsides of your house. People who tend to decide about buying a home would mostly give a drive by the place and examine it from the outside. And they will only look on the inside if the outsides seem livable and breathable. So to heighten the curb appeal, you can do the following:

  • Hang easy to read signs for house numbers
  • Make your house look green and blooming with flowers on the outside
  • Wash the walkways, driveways and any siding
  • Keep the lawn clean and mowed and keep adding fresh sodas per need
  • Keep front windows washed
  • Repaint the porch, front door and mailbox, if needed

2.    Have an inviting porch: Well, we all love to be invited, and invitations can massively increase the good impression the hosts may be making. A tiny stoop would do a lot better, too, if it has a welcoming vibe. Your porch must be clean and must have a doormat, potted plants, and if you have enough space, throw in some neat porch furniture as well. Try keeping porch lights on in the evening as lights also cause a brilliant welcoming impact on people. You can illuminate the front walk area with solar lights if you intend to show the house in the evenings.

3.    Sparkle, sparkle, clean! Hygiene and the cleanliness factor will help you make or cause you to break the deal. You must keep your house super clean. As clean as you can keep it. It won't cost you much, but this point will help you make a strong positive impression of your house on the potential buyers. From shining floors, gleaming windows, clean counters, and scrubbed grout, every part of your house must be shining clean. If you are selling a huge house and think that you cannot clean it all on your own, then you can hire pros as well, but don't you ever think of skipping this step. It will help you a ton if done nicely.

4.    Keep the mess off the bay: A super clean house when messy or unorganized gives off a very arid vibe. You don't want your potential buyers to build a negative first impression of your place. If you want to stage your house, then all the clutter will have to go away. You might have to put away all your extra junk in an offsite storage area, but you will have to do this step the right way. Make sure you are clearing the surfaces like floors, cupboards, and closets and make sure you are looking at your house from your potential buyer's house. This will help you in identifying the clutter you might have been living with through years. You should remember that your house should give off the look of a stylish interior house that is minimal and classy and should not worry about what your style was. New people are coming in, and they want what's considered the best in the market.

5.    Don't de-clutter too much; Wait what? Yes, do not make your house so much de-cluttered that it looks like no one is living here and give off an empty feeling. You should keep some fresh flowers in the living room and some lemons by the sink. Make it look airy and livable so that the potential buyers feel attracted to the sound vibe of a soothing home from your place.

6.    Keep your dining room table in style: Your dining room table will increase the appeal to it. You can make it look very cozy by adding a like a vase, bowl of fruit or a decorative piece. You can even light a fresh scent candle to make it more inviting. But remember not to over clutter.

7.    Clean your floors: Don't let them be a symbol of you living here for years. Your floors and carpets must be squeaky clean and make the visitors interested in living in a neat and clean place and adds to the appeal of the house a lot.

8.    Rearrange your furniture; Ahh, the easiest part. Doesn't cost a penny. Just move your furniture around and put it in a location that makes it look the very best and adds to the natural appeal of it.
