Every year, there are a handful of Christmas gifts I give that are so unique people always ask me where I got them and how long I shopped for them. I have a secret.... I don't shop at the malls or big stores - I don't have the time, energy, or patience for that. My secret is shopping at the markets and festivals in the area. Last year, I did 50% of my shopping at the Renaissance Fair and you'd be surprised what I find! This year, its from the German Christmas Market this weekend.

Tomball German Christmas Market will have 175 vendors with unique and fun gifts for everyone in your family. I’ve always enjoyed shopping these markets and find the neatest stuff. Plus, it’s free admission, parking, and shuttle! Not to mention, you get shopping with a festive feel, instead of the stressful pressure of a cram-packed mall.

I’m not going to lie… my favorite part of these festivals is the food. I’m a sucker for a good funnel cake. Yes, I know, that’s boring. If you want something better, there’s tons of options. In addition to your typical festival food, there is tons of traditional German food (my husband’s favorite part) including brats, sauerkraut, Gluhwein, and, of course, beer.

There’s something for everyone in the family. There’s a kids area, food, vendors, & 4 stages for music. A Doggie Costume Contest, Chicken Dance Contest, and the Big Squeeze Accordion Contest will be sure to bring smiles! I hope to see you there!
