MAD About MAD
Been looking for a fancier restaurant that’s relatively new- and definitely cool- with Tapas style food and delicious Spanish wines? Look no further than MAD! MAD comes from the prefix for the Madrid airport; however, you could not be any farther airport dining!! Located in the River Oaks District, the décor inside is hip and interesting, with tones of reds around. The bathroom hallway is mirrored, making you feel like you’re at a club!! This restaurant is definitely the place to see and be seen, so dress up in your new digs, grab some friends and enjoy!

While MAD offers brunch, dinner options are what is featured here. We started off with a smooth Spanish red and a surprise fish ceviche (surprise meaning the waiter brought it to us to try without us ordering – yum!)

A round of oysters and Steak Tartar next…

Then followed by Croquetas de Jamon (ham croquets), capped off with a traditional Paella!

My mouth is watering just thinking about it!! We couldn’t leave without trying a dessert…or two!! Churros Con Chocolate and El Abanico were both delightful to look at and to eat!!

I was definitely satisfied after leaving MAD. It’s definitely not going to be on your new diet plan, but worth the splurge! I hope you enjoy!
