Houston Restaurant Weeks are always one of my favorite times of year in Houston. You can try out different delicious bites at so many restaurants around town. The list of participating restaurants continues to grow every year with options all over Houston and its surrounding suburbs. Bonus! You’re doing a good thing by donating a portion of meal to charity - proceeds benefit the Houston Food Bank!
One delectable place to try – we’re on the last week of HRW – is Emmaline!! It’s off West Dallas in between Waugh and Dunlavy, super close to Downtown Houston! The HRW menu has some exciting things to try, certainly not stuff I would ever be able to make at home!

1st - I kicked things off with the Caviar Cicchietti. Not something I thought I’d be into, however it was so amazing!

2nd – Dining with someone else allowed me to taste both the Asparagus & Prosciutto and the Crudo di Pesce Bianco. The snapper was light and fresh, I felt like I could be eating this on a quiet beach somewhere. The combo of the asparagus and prosciutto with an egg on top was to die for!
3rd – I also got to try two for this course. Wood-Fired Pork Chop and Seared Fresh Sea Scallops. YUM! I’d eat both again! (I was so busy chowing down I forgot a picture!)
4th – Dessert! Nothing better than enjoying something sweet after a delicious meal. Just kidding! Trying two “something sweets”! We split the Summer Fruit Pavlova and the Dark Chocolate Espresso Torta. I’m not always a big fan of fruits mixed in with dessert, but the pavlova was so amazing! Melt in your mouth! The chocolate torta was also something I could eat over and over again!

I rounded out the delicious meal with some Prosecco, however the menu also has a Wine Pairing to complement the food! I highly recommend Emmaline!
