There are plenty of places to visit and things to do within a short drive from Houston. In my second week of spring break places to visit, I’ll discuss some options in Galveston. So close!! Galveston is a great place to visit for a day-trip, long weekend or even the entire spring break week!

Moody Gardens – Moody Gardens has a range of activities, from indoor to outdoor, from animals to cartoons, that will make every child happy!
Pleasure Pier – Spend your day riding rides with a view of Galveston Bay!
Schlitterbahn Waterpark – Enjoy your day splashing around with your kiddos on raft rides and water coasters!
Galveston Children’s Museum – The Children’s Museum has fun things to do for kids of every age!

Moody Gardens – Golf Course – Grab your clubs and play 18 holes at Moody Gardens!!
Beaches – Pack a cooler, chair and hat and spend your day relaxing at one of Galveston’s many beaches!
Galveston Seawall – Stroll along the Seawall, admiring the beach and bay or pop across the street to one of the many restaurants for a drink or lunch!
Strand Historic District – Explore the Strand’s many restaurants and shops!!
Galveston Island State Park – The park offers camping, hiking, biking, bird watching and swimming!
Galveston Island Brewing Company – Enjoy some local brews while relaxing on their outdoor patio!
