Meyer Park – An Ideal Place for Outside Activities

Houston, as we all are aware of, is the most populous city in the state of Texas. The lively nature of the city makes it ideal for fun loving people. There is something for everyone in this city and this quality makes it one of the best cities to live in.

Having lived in this city for quite some time, one of my favorite parks that I have found is the Meyer Park. Meyer Park may seem just a park from its name, but in reality, it is a different world. Meyer Park is a big park that features as much as 26 soccer fields, softball fields, basketball courts, gazebo, paved trailed, nature trail, duck pond, three-acre fishing lake, BBQ grill, playgrounds, BBQ pavilion, picnic table, and 15 exercise stations.

Living near the Meyer Park has been so much fun. This is a great park where my family and I still go to today. The Meyer Park offers a wide range of fun activities for your family and friends. Some of the activities that are available are:

·         Fishing – The Meyer Park promotes fishing as a recreational activity. There are different species of fish in the lake including catfish, bluegill, largemouth bass and others. However, catch-and-release fishing is encouraged.

·         Walking & Jogging – With a half mile long and 10 feet wide trail, Meyer Park provides a golden opportunity of walking and jogging. There are benches along the way so that you can rest when you feel tired and enjoy a smooth walk.

·         Sports – The presence of various playgrounds in the Meyer Park, gives you the opportunity to play your favorite sports like football, soccer, throw ball and others.

·         Family Picnic – The residents living near the park, as well as other people from other parts of the city, visit the park for a family picnic. The barbecue pavilion offers a chance to enjoy tasty barbecue food with your loved ones.

Besides the park that offers countless opportunities for outside activities, the area near the Meyer Park is also an ideal place to live in. There are some of the best schools, markets, pet clinics, healthcare centers and so much more that make living easy and ideal. One of the best things about Meyer Park is that the area is highly affordable as compared to the rest of the city. I would strongly suggest for y’all to consider this place for your residence. You will fall in love with this area as you and your kids make memories for a life time.
