I recently attended the Asian American Real Estate Association's 9th Annual Spring Gala held at the massive Ocean Palace in Bellaire. Pictured to my left is the new President of the association Lauris Tam. To his left is DR Horton homes sales manager David Wilcox. What an exciting evening full of tradition and entertainment. This is the year of the dragon. From vocal performances, to dragon dances, lively music and much more, the crowd was colorful and everyone felt the amazing Asian cultural experience.
AAREA is a non profit organization formed in 2003 dedicated to furthering the Asian American presence at-large within Houston. Through training sessions, seminars, and events, it establishes global and local networking opportunities for Asian American real estate companies within the US and countries in Asia. The current Asian population in the Harris/Fort Bend area is approximately 221,000, which is 5.8% of the total population.
