I’m talking about the “Birthplace of Texas” – Deer Park.  It is the location where initial treaty documents securing Texas’ independence from Mexico were drafted following the Battle of San Jacinto in 1836.

·       It also has a wonderful community theatre, outdoor Olympic-sized pool, and over 150 acres of municipal parks.
