All roads lead to real estate
“With Proposition 1, Texans have the unique opportunity to have more money in transportation funding with no new taxes, no new fees, or no funding for toll roads,” said Scott Haywood, president of Move Texas Forward, speaking at the Public Policy Forum. Haywood explained that the statewide proposition on the November ballot gives voters the chance to improve Texas roads. Haywood warned attendees that starting in 2016, Texas will barely be able to keep up with the maintenance of existing roads with no money for new construction.
